Coexistence of incommensurate magnetism and superconductivity in Fe1+ySexTe1−x
We have studied the superconducting and magnetic properties of Fe1+ySexTe1−x single crystals (0≤x≤0.5) by magnetic susceptibility, muon-spin rotation, and neutron diffraction. We find three regimes of behavior: (i) commensurate magnetic order for x≲0.1, (ii) bulk superconductivity for x∼0.5, and (iii) a range x≈0.25-0.45 in which superconductivity coexists with incommensurate magnetic order. Th...
متن کاملDetermination of the phase diagram of the electron-doped superconductor Ba(Fe1−xCox)2As2
Systematic measurements of the resistivity, heat capacity, susceptibility, and Hall coefficient are presented for single-crystal samples of the electron-doped superconductor Ba Fe1−xCox 2As2. These data delineate an x-T phase diagram in which the single magnetic/structural phase transition that is observed for undoped BaFe2As2 at 134 K appears to split into two distinct phase transitions, both ...
متن کاملFirst-Order Reversal Curves of the Magnetostructural Phase Transition in FeTe
We apply the first-order reversal curve (FORC) method, borrowed from studies of ferromagnetic materials, to the magneto-structural phase transition of Fe1+yTe. FORC measurements reveal two features in the hysteretic phase transition, even in samples where traditional temperature measurements display only a single transition. For Fe1.13Te, the influence of magnetic field suggests that the main f...
متن کاملVariable pressure-temperature neutron diffraction of wüstite „Fe1−xO...: Absence of long-range magnetic order to 20 GPa
Neutron diffraction measurements have been performed on polycrystalline Fe1−xO swüstited up to 20.3 GPa using a large-volume moissanite anvil cell at room temperature to examine the existence of long-range magnetic ordering in the high-pressure rhombohedral phase of the material. This investigation is crucial for understanding the nature of high-pressure phase transitions in Fe1−xO. Low tempera...
متن کاملStrong cooperative coupling of pressure-induced magnetic order and nematicity in FeSe
A hallmark of the iron-based superconductors is the strong coupling between magnetic, structural and electronic degrees of freedom. However, a universal picture of the normal state properties of these compounds has been confounded by recent investigations of FeSe where the nematic (structural) and magnetic transitions appear to be decoupled. Here, using synchrotron-based high-energy x-ray diffr...
